| About Suzanne J. Kessler, Ph.D. and Wendy McKenna, Ph.D. Suzanne J. Kessler received her BA in Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University and her Ph.D. in Social Psychology at City University of New York. Dr. Kessler is Professor of Psychology at Purchase College, State University of New York. She is the author of Lessons From the Intersexed and co-author of Gender: An Ethnomethodological Approach. Wendy Balsam McKenna received her BA in Psychology at Antioch College and her Ph.D. in Social Psychology at City University of New York. Dr. McKenna is a sex educator, Professor of Psychology, and therapist in private practice. She is co-author of Gender: An Ethnomethodological Approach. They have received many honors for their research on gender, including a recent Psychology journal dedicated to a retrospective of their work.
